Chandra Dhir is the AIML Director at AI Services and Innovation team in JP Morgan Chase & Co. (JPMC) working on innovative services & solutions for real-world financial problems leveraging state-of-the-art speech recognition, speech synthesis, natural language understanding and predictive technologies.
Chandra is deeply passionate about building machine learning (ML) powered products at scale, and iteratively improving the end-user experience by continuously optimizing ML product cycle modules ranging from data to large scale distributed training to deployment. Prior to JPMC, he led a team of engineers and researchers working on voice based technologies for all Apple products and Siri supported languages. Before joining Apple, he was part of a startup in South Korea where he developed low footprint audio and video fingerprinting technology for multimedia search which is embedded in smart TVs of some of the major consumer electronics companies. He has been training neural networks for about 20 years finding commercial applications in computer vision, and speech recognition tasks during his career. He received his bachelors in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Bio and Brain Engineering from KAIST.
