Gaurav Tuli is a Data Scientist at Boston Children’s Hospital in the Innovation & Digital Health Accelerator group, where he leads machine learning efforts for projects pertaining to: population health, patient experience, and digital health. He also works with clinical champions at the hospital to identify ways to use different internal data source in order to improve efficiency, patient outcomes and satisfaction of the hospital. His research interests broadly lie at the intersection of machine learning, population health, network science, and computation social & behavioral science. He has vast experience in building a variety of machine classifiers using both structured and unstructured data, and has been conducting research using big data analytics, social network analysis, and network-based modeling and simulation. Gaurav holds PhD in Computer Science and Applications from Virginia Tech, and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School before becoming the first Data Scientist of the hospital.
